Ron Paul Farewell Speech: Only Moral Revival Can Save America

Ron Paul recently gave a farewell speech on the house floor of congress. I have included some links to it below:

Some have labeled this speech as, "...arguable the single most important speech in American history." I think that if all Americans read AND understood this speech, our country would be far better off. Ron Paul is not perfect and his views are not perfect, but this speech does a great job describing what is wrong with our country and the only solution.

Here are a couple lines from his speech that I agree with!

Benjamin Franklin claimed "only a virtuous people are capable of freedom." John Adams concurred: "Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

"The ultimate solution is not in the hands of the government."


This speech is not perfect, but I agree with most of it. The premise of liberty and freedom is extremely important. He should have gone a little farther and explained that Biblical foundations are the best path to achieving a "moral and virtuous" people.
